Detailed Campaign Statement: I am always a representative of the Progressive wing of the Democratic Party and have been since 1968 when I supported Eugene McCarthy for Democratic candidate for President. While raising a family and completing my education my career was as a Social Worker in a Family agency, followed by getting my MSW from UofM and becoming a School Social Worker. My work was with adults and later Middle School students who needed support and guidance as they traversed through difficult times. Doing what I do now as a politically active retiree is just continuing the desire to help and make a difference in peoples lives.
